You're about to paste your product's strings into a tool. Here's exactly what happens to them — no vague reassurance.
What happens to your file
When you translate, your file is held in a temporary file and a temporary SQLite job on our server just long enough to do the work, then deleted within 2 hours. To produce the translation, the text is sent to OpenRouter, which routes it to the model provider (DeepSeek on the free tier; OpenAI's GPT-4o-mini on paid). Those providers process it under their own policies, linked in our privacy policy. Their servers are in the United States — we say so plainly rather than imply otherwise.
Training
KAERIS trains no models on your content — we don't operate any models. The AI runs entirely through the providers above, under their data policies. If you want zero third-party exposure on our side of the deal, use the Lifetime (BYOK) plan: you connect your own OpenRouter key, so the model relationship is directly between you and them, on your terms.

- Pro / Scale / Team-API — GPT-4o-mini
- Read-back judge — an independent pass on Gemini 2.5 Flash, different from the model that did the translation, so a model never grades its own work
In transit
Everything is served over HTTPS/TLS. The site sits behind Cloudflare; there are no third-party trackers or ad networks, and preferences are kept in your browser's localStorage, not on us.
Your keys
An API or Premium key you paste is used to authorize your request — it's never shown in logs or shared. A BYOK OpenRouter key is used to make the call on your behalf and is not stored beyond the request. Treat all keys like passwords; you can rotate them anytime.
Payments
Checkout is handled by our payment processor (Creem). We never see or store your full card details.
