1. The Service

KAERIS i18n is an AI-powered localization tool that translates software strings files (JSON, YAML, .strings, .po, ARB, Android XML, CSV) into up to 46 languages using large language models. The service is provided as-is via kaeris.dev and its API.

The AI chat widget on this site is an automated AI assistant, not a human support agent.

2. Accounts and access tiers

The service has the following tiers:

• Free — up to 10,000 characters per file, DeepSeek V3 model, no registration required
• Pro Monthly ($12/month) — up to 200,000 characters per file, GPT-4o-mini, unlimited files
• Scale Monthly ($25/month) — up to 500,000 characters per file, GPT-4o-mini, priority support
• Lifetime ($79 one-time, BYOK) — you connect your own OpenRouter API key; unlimited translation volume for which you pay OpenRouter directly; no recurring payment to us. See Section 6

API keys are personal and non-transferable. You are responsible for keeping your key confidential. We may revoke keys used in violation of these terms.

3. Acceptable use

You may not use KAERIS i18n to:

• Upload files containing personal data of third parties (names, emails, health data, etc.)
• Automate requests in a way that circumvents rate limits or harms service availability
• Translate content for the purpose of spam, phishing, or illegal activity
• Reverse-engineer, resell, or white-label the service without written permission
• Share your API key publicly or use it in client-side code accessible to end users
• Attempt to extract, reconstruct, or probe our AI prompts or model configurations

Violations may result in immediate key revocation and account termination without refund.

4. Intellectual property

Your content: You retain all rights to files you upload. We do not claim ownership over your source strings or the translated output. You grant us a temporary, limited license to process your files solely for delivering the translation.

Our content: The KAERIS name, logo, website design, and codebase are our property. You may not copy or imitate them.

AI output: Translated content is generated by third-party AI models. We make no copyright claim over AI-generated translations. Verify AI output before publishing.

5. Translation accuracy

We are not liable for errors, mistranslations, or losses arising from use of AI-generated output.

6. Lifetime deal — scope and limitations

The Lifetime plan ($79, one-time, BYOK) grants:

• Permanent access to all Pro features available at the time of purchase
• Features added to the Pro tier after your purchase date, subject to our discretion
• One non-transferable API key (kaerisp_…)

The Lifetime plan does not guarantee:

• An unlimited request rate — reasonable anti-abuse rate limits apply (translation volume is unlimited on your own OpenRouter key; contact us for very high throughput)
• That specific AI models (GPT-4o-mini, etc.) remain available indefinitely — we may substitute equivalent models
• Service continuity if we must shut down — see Section 10

7. Payments, Refund & Cancellation Policy

All payments are processed by Creem, our merchant of record. We do not handle or store your payment card details. KAERIS i18n sells digital subscriptions and licenses; the policy below explains how to cancel and when refunds apply.

Monthly Pro / Scale subscription

You can cancel anytime through the Creem customer billing portal (link in your payment receipt), or by emailing [email protected] — we cancel within 24h. Your key remains active until the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds for unused days.

EU/EEA consumers: You have the right to withdraw from a subscription contract within 14 days of purchase under EU Consumer Rights Directive, provided the service has not yet been used. Once you use the API key, the right of withdrawal is forfeited (digital-content exception).

Lifetime deal (BYOK)

7-day money-back guarantee: you may request a full refund within 7 days of purchase for any reason — email [email protected] with your Creem receipt. After 7 days, Lifetime is non-refundable (the license key is delivered instantly).

How to request a refund

Email [email protected] with your Creem receipt and we will confirm eligibility and process it promptly.

8. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee 99.x% uptime SLAs. Planned maintenance will be announced when possible. We are not liable for losses due to downtime.

AI model availability depends on our providers (OpenRouter, OpenAI, DeepSeek). If a model becomes unavailable we will substitute the closest equivalent without notice.

9. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy is incorporated into these terms by reference. By using the service you accept both documents.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim, or $79, whichever is greater
• We are not responsible for content translated by AI or for decisions made based on AI output

11. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access for violations of these terms, without prior notice. Upon termination, your API key is revoked and you must cease using the service.

You may stop using the service at any time. For subscription cancellation, use the Creem customer billing portal (link in your payment receipt) or email [email protected]. See Section 7 for our full Refund & Cancellation Policy.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine. Disputes shall be resolved first by good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to the courts of Ukraine. EU consumers may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date and posting a notice on kaeris.dev. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
